Unlike today, the early years had NO groups of watch writers and bloggers who appear to praise all the brands...and own only 2 watches.
No.
Thoese days, collectors like us visited the factories on our own...and got to know many of the people there.
There were NO blogs, no magazines.....yet.
I think the world is BETTER today.
But watch bosses have to remain humble.
Money changes people.
The honesty and humility are NO longer there.
at least at management.
Kurt is a private man, humble...and truthful...helpful and kind.
A watchmaker of the people.
He has made IWC what it is.
His memory is not so good today.
But...what saddens me is that he is given a small desk at the open office.
And young men, who have no real loyalty, except for the dollar/chf are the people who run the show.
There are a few good men...they are my friends.
And the only reason why I support IWC today.
Watchmaking is personal.
